I'm am boggled.

Ceirwy and her friend Paul are walking down the college hall. Ceirwy is playing Kingdom Hearts on her DS and not really paying attention to where she is going.

Paul: Stop That!
Ceirwy: What?
Paul: People are staring!
Ceirwy: Well let them stare I'm busy... Wait why are they staring?
Paul: Oh I don't know... Maybe it's the fact that you're growling at your DS? Or maybe it's the fact that you keep lewdly peeking your tongue out? Or maybe, just maybe, it's the fact that you are wearing knee high stripped socks with cut off shorts and a sweater entirely too big for you with "I DON'T KNOW WHERE I'M GOING!" printed on it. Oh OR MAYBE it's because you yelled "JUST MAKE OUT ALREADY!" at your screen! Why do I hang out with you?
Ceirwy: *mashing buttons* Because I paid for your coffee.
Paul: ...
Paul: Touchee.

I love Paul but he needs to learn how to chill. Not giving a shit is a great skill to acquire in college. XD
I'm also about half way done with 358/2! Damn you Challenge Mode!

So season 2 for Kuroshitsuji was announced... And, unlike most fans, I am withholding judgement just yet. My perception of the anime ended with season 1 and I let it die there. I will watch season 2 when it comes out in July, but until then, I have no opinions. End of discussion.


Now, last night I was watching Darker than Black again.



I love this series. The colour, the music (Yoko Kano!) and pacing are all masterfully done. Not to mention the plot is so full of twists and turns, bearly know which way is up and yet you never get motion sick! However, one of my favourite things by far has to be how the anime treats "good and evil." Because, really, there is none. There are only different factions and sides. Sure some people lean one way or the other, but the series could have easily slipped to following another set of characters and audiences would have loved it. Instead of Hei's pov or Kirihara's, maybe from MI6's? Or from the French factions... Hei would have still gained most of the fangirls simply because he is that badass, but really the story didn't have to center on him... Not with the way they treat their reveals and arcs.

Has anyone else on my f-list seen it? What do you think?

I was going to get you something and then I ran out of time. Forgive me? I could always write you a drabble of your choice if you wanted. ^.^

I saw Sherlock Holmes today. AND YOU GUYS WEREN'T KIDDING ABOUT THE GAY SUBTEXT. I mean it wasn't even really subtext, it was kinda like "Here's the gay not so cleverly disguised. Enjoy." And, I totally did XD. It was a good movie overall. I loved how they incorporated all the little facts and facets of the Holmes Universe. Like the mention of Mycroft and his little rant/monologues. AND IRENE! God guys you don't know how much I love Irene. I'm a big fan of thieves in literature. My most recent love is Kaito as 1412 (Kaitou Kid) in Magic Kaito, but Irene was one of my first loves.

One thing that surprised me in the movie was the soundtrack. It really wasn't what I had expected, but it was good, baring a few places where I thought they faded the music at the wrong time. But, then again I'm a big fan of Hans Zimmer's work, so I liked it.

Good movie, I'd recommend it.

Also, since It's been forever, I just realized I didn't tell you about when I saw the Olympic Torch come through the city. It was last Friday, and a really beautiful day. Like warm enough that I only needed to wear my sweater, a scarf and thin gloves. I got there early to help out at the Sugar Shack and distribute the "tire" (pronounced ts-ear) to people since i had sign up to volunteer. I got to sample the goods all the time, which is why I had such a huge sugar crash when I went hope later that night XD. Next to us was this stall of Indian food vendors so I taunted them with out Tire and they taunted me back with Samosas. Eventually we called a truce and traded foodstuffs in an act of peace.

The Torch itself came around 7:30pm after all the talent shows and bands on stage. It was kind of anti-climactic to tell you the truth. I mean the guy runs in, it's pretty, lights up the bowl, everyone cheers and then we go back to whatever the hell we were doing XD Fireworks were awesome though. The city didn't cheap out and we got like 10 minutes worth of really good fireworks. Overall, really fun night for me.

And that's all I have to say about my life right now. I'm really busy, but happy.

I'm a respectful person by nature. I like good debate and I love to argue a point, but I do so with respect in regards to my opponent and I always try to see their side of things.

That being said, when some noob starts attacking me on my likes and dislike on a board, I get angry. I'm a well read person. My 4 personal floor to ceiling bookcases filled to the brim and well worn library card can attest to this. I read as many genres as I can get my hands on. In the anime/manga world, I've been a fan for nearly a decade and I have over 100 fandoms under my belt. So, I think I know what I'm talking about when I discuss the pros and cons of a series.

I'm BACK!!!!!!!

Thank god. I love my family but going all the way to the city and spending Christmas with them is exhausting. We have family conspiracies and drama all over the place. My dad is just too different from his brothers and sisters so we're kind of the odd ducks out whenever we visit. Like the difference between cat lovers and dog lovers ya know? It was still nice to see them all.

My Christmas haul was pretty good. I got a few CDs, A DSlite with Kingdom Heart 358/2 and Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box (Pandora's Box for the EU version) and a new toaster. My brother mocked me because I was more excited over the toaster than the DS but I'm a girl who loves to cook. Kitchen appliances are the quickest way to my heart XD

Overall not bad. Next up is New Years, which we're celebrating with some family friends. After that I'm gearing up for winter semester starting the 6th of January.

Note to Self: Call Valerie and wish her a Happy 21st birthday.

Dear Santa... Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! In March I got in line at the supermarket at the same time as someone else and I didn't yield (-8 points). In May I bought porn for noveltynovelist (10 points). Last Thursday I invaded Iraq, broke it, and couldn't glue it back together before Mom got home (-1012 points). Last Wednesday I gave moon_maiden36 a Dutch Oven (-10 points). In October I gave firefanatic a wet willie, then I took it back (-5 points). Overall, I've been naughty (-1025 points). Sometimes, you surf the internet feeling bored. Nothing catches your attention but you don't want to leave because the world outside has so much and you don't want to quite face those responsibilities and chores just yet.

And sometimes, you stumble on something that makes you stop in your tracks. Sometimes, you find things that take your breath away and make you ache in a way you didn't quite remember you could ache before.

Today was a bit of both for me. I was just scrolling around and suddenly I discovered a post by someone called theuglyvolvo and she made me feel something I hadn't felt in a long time. Words aren't quite adequate to describe the feeling so I wont even try. But, it finds you in a good way.

You can find the post here and I encourage you all to read it. It's written in a way that just tugs at you, a way that you wouldn't expect from an LJ post. It's quite non-linear but she weaves a story and each seemingly random aside pulls together into this wonderful quiet ending that made me just feeze.

Used to be my default, I really really love the vibrant colors in this one. And the way the girl looks while gripping her shirt make me think she'll start twirling around any second. I switched it for my current default because this feels very spring/summer to me and it isn't spring/summer now XD

This one is new. Really new because I just added it this morning. Any self-respecting Kuro fangirl has to have at least one Ciel/Sebastian icon. It was about time I added one to my list. And I really love how Ciel looks all snobby and Sebastian all sexy.

This be my crack icon! I use it whenever crack is involved in a conversation now since I'm not in the Death Note fandom much anymore. It's one of the few things that remain with me from that time XD. Also, L and Light are quoting Monty Python's The Holy Grail! I mean come on! How much mroe crack/awesome can you get?

This one is also very new. I haven't had the chance to use it. It's my happy dance icon. Fun stuff happens, stuff to make me happy and a little giddy, this be the icon of choice to express that. Caplocks might be used in conjunction. It's also a throwback to my childhood. Barbies? Nope! I had action figures and Batman was my hero. Watching shake his thang makes my day.

Again, I'm not in the Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles fandom anymore, but the icon remains from those days. This is my "I poke fun at you" and "I am very amused" icon. The colours are really vibrant and FaixKurogane is still really cute to me.

NOW I GET TO CELEBRATE. I'm going out with some friends for pizza and gingerbread. Finals are on Saturday and Monday. I'll probably bunk down tomorrow to start studying, though as depressing as that sounds, I'm devoting a full day to watching the films I missed in film 201.
